The movie will be filming throughout the city of San Diego during late May to mid June and will need over a thousand extras & real tennis players of all skill levels to participate. Shooting Format: HD Pay Rate: Meals, Copy, IMDB & Screen Credits. There will also be free Smash! T-Shirts, Tennis Balls & Mugs for everyone. Some days will also have a raffle with an iPod as the prize! Role Types: Everyday People - Ages 1 - 99 / Any Race / Any Gender - To play different people in crowds at public & private settings such as a tennis match, the mall, the beach, etc. Real Tennis Players - Ages 8 - 18 / Any Race / Any Gender - To act as tennis players at tennis courts. Must have your own tennis/athletic clothing and racquet. All skill levels from beginner to professional are welcome but you must know how to play the game and have played or have practiced before. Handpicked Speaking & Featured Roles will be selected on the day of the shoot when you arrive. You MUST come to the set to have a chance to be picked for one of these roles. If you are given a role your role will have a name! Storyline: Ally "Smash!" Mash is 16 years old and the #1 Junior Tennis player in America. She's on the cover of Teen Cosmo, but she's never looked in a mirror except to practice her top-spin. Everybody's counting on her to win, but she's never gotten to be a regular teenager. When Ally injures herself and loses her first match in eight years she finally gets a chance to spend time with her friends, have some fun and learn how to be a girl. In that process Ally becomes and even better player, one with heart, and finds the perfect guy.
