Posted 10/16/2009 1:02:07 PM | | | For a play in New London, CT. Auditions tonight, October 16, 2009. Auditions for a new play written by award winning local playwright Michael R. McGuire will be held October 16th from 6 PM to 9 PM at City News 68 State Street in New London, CT. Open call. The play will be directed by Sarah Coleman. The play, BAD BOYS, depicts a night in the lives of a group of students home from college during Christmas break. We are seeking three women and one man. Actors and actresses should be able to portray college age characters. Due to the adult nature of the material, no one under the age of 18 will be considered. Those auditioning should prepare a dramatic monologue and be prepared to read sides from the play. Headshots and resumes will be accepted, but are not required. Intensive rehearsals will begin immediately for performances November 12 - 15. For more information, actors may contact urlar@msn.com. Michael R. McGuire was awarded a 2005 CT Artist Fellowship for his play THE NEW GIRL, was selected as part of The Lark Play Development Center's Playwrights Week in 2004 for his play SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I MISSED THE TRAIN, was a semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at The O'Neill for his play HEARTBREAKER and has been published by Brooklyn Publishers with his plays PERSEPHONE RULES! and THE MISJUDGMENT OF OENONE. He has been produced locally for the past sixteen years by Performers' Co-op, Secret Theatre and The Planning Stage.
