Attention all EFM members. EFM is happy to announce new web site changes.

ExtrasForMovies.com is in the process of reactivating the member’s ability to create and manage their own profiles and state listings that appear on ExtrasForMovies.com web site.

In the very near future we will be launching the new format and the new search function for members.

All members will be asked to recreate their profiles and upload their pictures.

Included in the new functionally members will now be allowed to:

·         Upload a resume in word format so production personnel can download and print

·         Upload a voice and or video sample for download

·         Add up to five (5) photos on your page

·         Get your profile and photo added to the new search function database for production personnel seeking talent on EFM.

·         Members will have their own personal link (example: extrasformovies.com/your_name )

NOTE: All old profiles will remain on the site and live but in order to manage and update your profiles and get into the new search function you will have to create a new profile.

Take Note: Your Page link to your web page WILL CHANGE after you create your new profile.

Current posted members will be provided with a special code or password in order to signup and by pass any fee. Meaning posted members do not have to pay to create their new profiles. Please monitor the EFM forum for updates or email us on how to proceed when it is announced that we are out of beta.

If you have a state listing only on EFM, you too will have the ability to update your photo and add or update one or two lines of text to your state listing.

Tips to get ready to create your personal web page or state listing

Be prepared to get your page to display the best it can be.

1. Check your spelling
2. Use lots of text with words such as your talents, abilities anything unique about yourself as well as any specialty you may perform, the more information you provide on your profile the more opportunities may come your way

Key word examples:

Dancer, singer, roller skating, athletic, swimsuit model, voiceover, actor, child actor, entertainer, surfer, can drive motorcycle, languages you many speak and so forth.

3. List only the personal information you want displayed on your web page from the from provided. Do NOT put any personal contact information or email addresses in your profile.  This is not allowed for a number of reasons including the fact that your personal information is on display for anyone to see and use for their own gains. (We will remove any content we deem sensitive - EFM has installed a filtering function to help keep out spammers and people of ill repute.)
4. Take note of the link that generates on your web page profile, this will be  your personal link and your link can sent to anyone who you want to have the ability to view your photos or download your video and voice samples off the internet.
5. Prepare and upload your resume in a professional word document format to allow users to download your resume to print. Again we suggest you limit personal information on your resume and refer to the EFM link to contact you. (if you need help on resume format be sure to use the FREE resume generator provided to all EFM members.)
6. Do not include ANY links or advertisement on your personal profile about other web sites or products without the express permission of an EFM representative.
7. Do not attempt to add html code to your page.
8. Format your pictures for the largest resolution display allotted on the new EFM profile pages for your thumb, display and larger size images. The largest size display is 570x760 so crop and size your picture accordingly for upload

NOTE: EFM staff will be monitoring all web site content and profiles, if inappropriate content or blurry, low quality and distorted pictures are displaying, your page will become deactivated and you will need to work with an EFM staff member to present a proper profile before it is reactivated on EFM.

We are almost ready to release our beta version allowing members to create and manage their own web pages and state listing , but we need a few members willing to help us test before we go live.

We are looking for members to signup and create web pages and state listings on the beta version.

You will be creating a web page and or state listing. Please be advised that this is beta testing and what you do will not be included on the web site when it goes live, this means when it is released you will have to do it again for real.

If anyone is interested in helping us test, please read our first post on how to be prepared and then email me ASAP.

And we will email you with the instructions on what to do. Then we need to hear back from you on any suggestions or anything that is not working as soon as possible

We are trying to work out any final bugs and need as many eyes as possible. Please help us help EFM grow and get this beta live so everyone can benefit.
