| | I am new to acting, having only done one small part in one film and scheduled for another this month. I live near New Orleans, La. which has become a hot bed for production companies to shoot.
Do I need an agent, if so, when is the right time to try to find one? And what do I look for when I start looking. Finally, anyone know any good ones for me? Should I seek one in New Orleans, or somewhere else (California or New York)? |

| | | Hi, First off welcome to the forum. Please wait until you build up your resume before trying to get a NY or CA agent. Keep doing what you are. You need to work up to getting an agent from these areas as they are tough. Make sure you add skills to your resume and any acting credits. Try to get at the very least a supporting role before submitting to the NYC or CA agents. Always ask for a demo reel of the work you have done. Better yet ask FIRST before you sign on to a project if you will be given a demo reel.You can add you demo reel to your acting sites. I wish you much success and hope to see you on the big screen.
