Have you had a BAD EXPERIENCE with a Casting Director?

POST YOUR 2 CENTS

As a Casting Director I am constantly receiving praise for not being like my casting colleagues. I believe the whole reason I am not like the others is because I have a different attitude, my children are actors and models. I personally know what actors and models go though prior to auditioning.

I know how UNPROFESSIONL Casting Directors can be and I know it is impossible for talent to ever do anything about it.

I bet many of you wish you could go straight to production with a VALID complaint but will NOT do so, as more likely than not you feel you jeopardize your future chances of getting hired. Am I right or what?

I equally know how unprofessional talent can be and know rejection is hard to swallow for some. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR YOUR OPINION IF YOU DID NOT MAKE THE CUT DO TO YOUR AUDITION PERFORMANCE OR LACK THEREOF.

I also know Casting Directors put talent to some very stringent time constraints....we call you in at the very last minute to audition, tell you the evening prior or the morning of that you are a hire etc....this is just the way it is...casting Directors do not make the rules...we to have serious time sensitive challenges that production bestows upon us as well...so please do not vent in that direction, that is NOT what I am hoping to hear about.

WHAT I WANT TO HEAR IS......

Have you ever been given a bad audition address and went on a wild goose chase, provided the wrong time slot information, arrive on time yet the doors are locked, given the wrong directions, been treated rudely, can't reach the casting director if need be etc?

I personally hate paying for others mistakes...what about you?

Give me your 2 cents...please keep it clean and honest.

You can either email me directly or post to the public ..this inquiring mind wants to know the truth...who knows...if it gets interesting enough...this could turn out to be a website, published book or documentary.
