Posted 9/19/2006 10:39:25 AM | | | Casting call inquiries arrive everyday for members posted on the website. Once you receive an inquiry as a result of your listing on the site, you need to act fast and answer the inquiry you are sent from our casting department. Casting personnel do not have the time to wait for you to respond. Example: A member received a call for a LEADING ROLE in a film that was going to be shot in their hometown. The inquiry went out as soon as it came in and the member did not respond until a week later! By then it was too late, the casting person needed to fill the role and by the time the member got back to them, it was already casted. Members please, if you are posted on the EFM website you need to keep your email address updated and you need to respond right away to the casting personnel. This member lost a terrific opportunity, it would have been a great opportunity to try out for a leading role. It saddens the EFM staff and the members when they loose a shot at attaining their dreams of getting into film projects. You need to be aware that you just never know who and when you will get requested. So if you are posted on the site be SURE to check your emails and respond as soon as possible to casting personnel. The EFM staff.
